Both teams to score combined with over 2.5 total goals and over 8.5 corners looks like an interesting Bet Builder based on the attacking capabilities of both teams, their recent defensive vulnerabilities and the potential for an open encounter at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Fiorentina have experienced a difficult start to the 2026/27 Serie A season, collecting just four points from their opening seven league matches. They have recorded one victory, one draw and five defeats, scoring eight goals while conceding 17.

Their defensive record is particularly significant for this selection. Fiorentina have conceded approximately 2.43 goals per league match, demonstrating considerable difficulties preventing opposition chances and maintaining defensive organisation.

Their recent results provide additional encouragement for a high-scoring encounter. Fiorentina suffered a 3-1 home defeat against Como on October 18 and a 2-1 away defeat against Genoa on October 10.

Both encounters satisfied the combination of both teams to score and over 2.5 total goals, with Fiorentina finding the net despite ultimately losing.

Their earlier 4-2 away victory against Venezia provides another example of their ability to contribute offensively in matches featuring several goals. Across these three fixtures, Fiorentina scored seven goals and conceded seven, producing an average of approximately 4.67 total goals per match.

Atalanta have also demonstrated attacking potential, particularly in their recent victories against Venezia and Pafos. Both matches finished 3-1, highlighting their ability to score multiple goals against different opponents.

Their 3-2 away defeat against AC Milan provides another relevant example. Atalanta scored twice despite losing, while the encounter produced five goals and satisfied both parts of the proposed goals combination.

Across those three matches, Atalanta scored eight goals and conceded five, averaging approximately 4.33 total goals per fixture.

The attacking matchup is particularly interesting because Fiorentina have struggled defensively, while Atalanta have demonstrated their ability to produce multiple goals even when facing competitive opposition.

Fiorentina's home advantage could also help them create opportunities, particularly against an Atalanta side that has conceded goals in several recent domestic matches.

The corner statistics provide another important argument for this selection.

Across a recent ten-match sample, Fiorentina have averaged approximately 4.7 corners won and 3.4 conceded per fixture, producing a combined average of 8.1 total corners.

Their home corner average is slightly higher at approximately 5.1, demonstrating their ability to generate sustained attacking pressure at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Atalanta have averaged approximately 4.9 corners won and 5.7 conceded across their available current-season sample, with their matches producing approximately 10.6 total corners.

The difference between the two teams' corner averages is worth considering. Atalanta's matches have generally produced more corners, while Fiorentina's have been slightly below the proposed nine-corner requirement.

A match-specific statistical model estimates approximately 9.32 total corners, with over 8.5 corners assigned a probability of around 51%.

This suggests the corner requirement is achievable, but far from guaranteed.

The same statistical model projects approximately 2.95 total goals, with over 2.5 goals estimated at 58% and both teams to score at 55%.

These individual estimates provide some encouragement for the attacking markets, although they also demonstrate that neither condition is overwhelmingly likely.

The most important factor is that all three requirements must occur in the same match.

Fiorentina and Atalanta could produce a high-scoring encounter with relatively few corners, or they could generate numerous corners while one team fails to find the net.

A 2-1, 1-2 or 2-2 result would satisfy both goals requirements, provided the teams also produce at least nine corners.
