Who is Napoli’s sensation Khvicha Kvaratskhelia?

We've taken a look at his career and his stats for the current season so far. 

Napoli have always been known for having incredibly talented attacking players. Dries Mertens and Lorenzo Insigne have been fan favorites for many years in Naples with their unpredictable and challenging style of playing. 
Marek Hamsik and Ezequiel Lavezzi have also been big profiles for Napoli in the past, but the biggest star is Diego Maradona, who is adored by all Neapolitans.

Maradona led Napoli to their only Scudetto titles in 1986/87 and 1989/1990 and the UEFA Cup victory in 1988/89. 

Napoli's superb start to the season in both Serie A and the Champions League has made the Neapolitan fans dream of the big titles for the first time in a long time. One of the reasons for this is that they believe they have been given a Georgian talisman which can lead them all the way and this man is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. 

Kvaratskhelia career:
The 21-year-old George grew up in Tbilisi where he started his career at Dinamo's academy, good performances here led him to switch to the Georgian club Rustavi.

In Rustavi, he was discovered by the big Russian club Lokomotiw Moscow in February 2019. Here he played for half a year where he managed to get 10 matches, but lack of success meant that he was loaned back to familiar surroundings in Rustavi. Rubin Kazan took the chance and brought him back to Russia and this is where his career really started.

These stats are quite impressive for a 20-year-old boy and because of the terrible situation in Ukraine, Napoli took the chance and bought him to South Italy this summer. 

Kvaratskhelia has played 19 games and scored 10 goals for the Georgian National team.

Kvaratskhelia has impressive 8 goals and 10 assists in 17 games in all competitions. 
The winger has represented excellent value for money this season and has proven to be an excellent pick up from Rubin Kazan.
Statistically, Kvaratskhelia is one of the most prolific dribblers in Europe, completing 2.4 successful dribbles per match, making him Napoli’s most effective player.
