What does the future hold for Romelu Lukaku?
Lukaku has no future at Chelsea, but where will he play next season?
Romelu Lukaku has had an impressive career in professional football. He started his journey at Anderlecht in Belgium, where he made his senior debut at a young age. Lukaku's performances attracted the attention of top European clubs, leading to his move to Chelsea in 2011. However, he struggled to establish himself at Chelsea and went on loan to West Bromwich Albion and Everton.
It was during his time at Everton that Lukaku truly made a name for himself. He showcased his scoring prowess and became one of the most prolific strikers in the Premier League. His impressive performances earned him a move to Manchester United in 2017, where he continued to excel.
After two seasons at Manchester United, Lukaku made a switch to Inter Milan in 2019. This move proved to be a turning point in his career. Lukaku thrived in the Serie A, forming a formidable partnership with Lautaro Martinez, and helping Inter Milan win the league title in the 2020-2021 season.
Lukaku's success at Inter Milan caught the attention of his former club, Chelsea, and he made a high-profile return to the club in 2021. A return that did not turn out to be a success, and as a result, Lukaku spent last season back at Inter Milan on a loan deal, with mixed success. However, Inter Milan is reportedly more than willing to extend his loan for another year. Nevertheless, Lukaku's future is currently uncertain due to interest from Saudi Arabia.

Lukaku, at 30 years old, could indeed consider a move to Saudi Arabia, given the recent trend of players choosing to play there. However, he has previously expressed deep love and loyalty towards Inter Milan, so if they can reach an agreement with Chelsea for another loan deal, that seems to be the most likely scenario. Despite Pochettino being the new manager at Chelsea, it is not expected that Lukaku has a future in England.
