Thomas Tuchel's awful start to life in Bayern Munich
With the defeat to Mainz this weekend, Bayern can no longer decide the championship duel against Dortmund.
Thomas Tuchel has not had the start he wanted in Bayern Munich. With a defeat in the German cup tournament and the defeat to Manchester City in the Champions League, there is now only the German championship left to win.
With a 3-1 defeat to Mainz, they have now been overtaken by their rivals from Dortmund and are therefore 1 point behind their rivals.
With 5 games left in the Bundesliga, Tuchel is under huge pressure and several Munich fans already want Tuchel fired.
Tuchel’s start in Bayern Munich:
- 7 games
- 2 wins
- 2 draws
- 3 losses
- 9 goals scored
- 12 goals conceded
- 8 points
- 1.14 points per game
In the last 4 games you have no win, a draw against Hoffenheim and a defeat to Mainz, are not familiar things for the German fans and there is therefore pressure on Tuchel and Bayern's management when they chose to fire Nagelsmann and hire Tuchel instead .
Oliver Kahn has saved Tuchel in the media in relation to a dismissal and the lack of results, and instead he criticizes the players who were on the pitch against Mainz:
"- There are 11 men on the pitch who have to work hard to achieve the club's goals. What the team showed on the pitch is not good enough."
Bayern's management has therefore decided that Tuchel will get resources for the summer transfer window, regardless of the results this season, so that he can start his rebuild of Bayern from the summer.
