Stats24 takes a look at Didier Deschamps France record

Stats24 takes a look at Didier Deschamps France record
The French national coach has coached Les bleus for over 10 years and can now win the World Cup trophy for the second time in a row when they face Argentina in the World Cup Final

We've looked at his stats and the he's achivements for France in his years as a coach.

France has the opportunity to become the only 3 countries in history to defend their World Cup title:

Italy (1934 & 1938)
Brazil (1958 & 1962)
France (2018 & ?)

This would be a huge achievement for the French national coach and write him in the history books as one.

Didier has been vilified by the French media for several years due to lack of results. The biggest disappointment was at home in 2016 when they lose the final to Portugal, here it was almost certain that Didier would be fired, but the French Federation chose to continue with him.
France went all the way at the 2018 World Cup in Russia and took home the trophy, suddenly, Didier was a French national hero and that shows how quickly things can go in football.

France also won the Nations League trophy in 2020/21 and are absolutely determined to take another World Cup trophy home and make more national history.

Didier Deschamps stats for France:
Games: 139
Wins: 90
Draws: 26
Losses: 23
Goals Scored: 284
Goals Conceded: 122
Points: 296
Points per match: 2.13

Several media outlets write that Didier may be close to signing an extension to his current contract and that would make sense as the French manager still miss the European trophy in his collection.
