Worst moments in United: 

There were high expectations for Manchester United when Ronaldo joined the club, but they failed to win any of the major trophies in his first 3 seasons. At the same time, Ronaldo only scored 19 league goals in the period 2003-2006, which is among the lowest he has achieved in his entire career.

United reached the Champions League final again in 2008/09, where they lost 2-0 to Barcelona. It is the only time that Ronaldo has lost a Champions League final and he has several times called it one of his biggest disappointments in his career.

Ronaldo returned to United in the 2021/22 season and delivered an acceptable 24 goals in 37 games.
Ten Hag was introduced as United manager this season and it has not been a match for Ronaldo. Ronalo was referred to the bench and has spoken negatively about the coach in the media, which has led to Ronaldo's contract being terminated.
