Preview: Dortmund vs. RB Leipzig – team news and prediction
Dortmund welcomes RB Leipzig to Westfalenstadion on Saturday evening.

Important match in the Bundesliga, where both Dortmund and Leipzig ideally need 3 points to keep pace with the top teams. Leipzig is currently in 4th place with 26 points, and Dortmund is in 5th place with 35 points, so there is a gap to the top team from Leverkusen, which has 35 points as well.

Dortmund enters the match with a defeat to Stuttgart in the DFB-Pokal, leaving them with only the league and the Champions League to focus on. Both Leipzig and Dortmund have been inconsistent in terms of results, which is why neither team is currently at the top of the Bundesliga standings.

Team news:
Dortmund is under pressure on the injury front, and after the match against Stuttgart, Marius Wolf, Marcel Sabitzer, Youssoufa Moukoko, and Julian Ryerson all picked up minor injuries, casting doubt on their availability for today's match. Additionally, Sebastien Haller, Felix Nmecha, and Julien Duranville are already unavailable. Niklas Sule and attacker Giovanni Reyna were ill during the week, but they are back on the training pitch and ready for the match.

Dani Olmo, Will Orban, and El Chadaille Bitshiabu are still unavailable for RB Leipzig. Timo Werner is doubtful and will undergo a test on match day before being cleared. Benjamin Henrichs also dealt with illness during the week, but he has recovered and is expected to be included in the starting lineup.

Dortmund expected lineup:
Kobel; Sule, Hummels, Schlotterbeck, Bensebaini; Can, Ozcan; Adeyemi, Reus, Malen; Fullkrug.

Leipzig expected lineup:
Blaswich; Henrichs, Simakan, Lukeba, Raum; Haidara, Schlager; Kampl, Simons; Poulsen, Openda.

Prediction:
A completely even match between two teams where the offensive quality is a key aspect. Leipzig has traditionally had good control over Dortmund based on previous results, so in our view, Leipzig is a slight favorite in the match. However, we believe there will be goals in the game and therefore suggest over 3.5 goals at odds of 2.10 with Betway.
