Overview: ATP Singles Draper vs Murray
Jack Draper moves past Andy Murray in the ATP Singles round of 32
As the ATP Singles continues to go on, we were treated to a showdown between one of the greatest to do it, and a rising star in Jack Draper.
Draper continues Indian Wells Masters Run in his first meeting with English tennis super star Andy Murray. Draper’s 8 aces, and general domination over Murray.
During the match we witnessed Draper dominating the flow with 8 aces and averaging higher percentage 1st and 2nd serve points. Same regarding returns, where he had more volume shots with a higher percentage of finishing.
With 31 winners to 18 for Murray, we can notice the tennis super star’s decline. At only 21 years of age, Jack Draper is starting to make a name for himself in the tennis world. Fortunately for the rising star, this string of victories should serve well to his stock following a disappointing first round exit in the Australian open, to none other than Rafael nadal.
The thrilling back and forth could be a great indicator of things to come for the up-and-coming Brit, so long as he maintains the hot-streak he has seen in the current Masters.
