With an assist in the 5-4 shootout loss to the Dallas Stars, Alex Ovechkin reached a significant milestone in his NHL career by achieving 1500 points. He is the 16th player in NHL history to accomplish this feat, and it was well-deserved as he received a standing ovation from the fans at Capital One Arena.
