EHF Champions League Quarter FInals
As the EHF Champions League ⅛ finals come to an end, the competition is looking tighter as we get to the quarter finals.
Last night we were given a showdown in the league's history as many teams hoped and still hope to make a quarter finals appearance. Here are the results from last night's games.
Nates vs Wisla Plock: 25-25 (57-57 aggregate)
Wisla Plock won in Nantes on penalties (5-4), making the total aggregate score of 61-62 for the Polish team.
Wisla Plock will be playing SC Magdeburg in the upcoming quarter finals. This will be a tough matchup for Wisla as Magdeburg finished 2nd in Group A, only 4 points behind a dominant Paris SG. Compared to the 6th spot Wisla who make history as they reach this stage of the competition for the very first time in the organization's history.
Kiel vs Dinamo București: 31-32 (72-60 on aggregate)
Kiel might have lost at home to the Romanian side, but managed to seal a quarter finals appearance on aggregate after their dominant victory in the first leg of the ⅛ round, winning 41-28.
Going into the next round, Kiel will have to oppose the dominant side of Paris SG, who ended the regualr seaosn with 24 points, or the best in the group, and ssecond place, right behind Barcelona in the overall competition.
Going into this game, Kiel will have to give their all if they wish to reach the semis. Winning against PSG will be virtually impossible, but Kiel has proven to not be overlooked.
