Bet-At-Home

Up to a £750 casino bonus

Background

Bet-at-home.com Holding is part of the Betclic Everest Group and has bold - some might say unbelievable - claims to having 2.5 million registered customers from 230 countries. The bet-at-home brand was founded in December 1999 in Wels, Upper Austria and three months later the website went online.

Since then a live score service, casino, poker and games divisions have all been added as the company seeks to be among Europe's leading gaming providers. With a website available in 22 continental languages and offices in Austria, Germany, Malta and Gibraltar it is safe to say they are well on the way to that aim. They are helped along this path by considerable sponsorship spending, including deals with various football and ice hockey clubs and several tennis tournaments.

Bet-At-Home Odds and Markets

The bookmaker has an average of 7,000 bets online each day, covering around 30 different sports. As with most bookmakers the focus is football with plenty of weird and wonderful leagues available, although the range of markets on each game is quite small. They offer better than average betting for ice hockey and basketball but do not cover horse racing or greyhounds at all.

Their odds are around the industry standard - far from outstanding but not particularly bad. On the big football markets they are unlikely to offer any real standout prices, particularly on favourites but their in-play odds are often superb.

Bet-At-Home Bonus Offers

Deposit: 1.00 EUR - 499.99 EUR, bonus: max. 200.00 EUR. Deposit: 500.00 EUR - 2,000.00 EUR, bonus: max. 1,000.00 EUR.

New customers only. Rollover conditions: 60x in 28 days on selected games. T&Cs apply.

In-Play and Mobile Betting

The in-play offering needs improvement before it can be ranked alongside the very best; however, perhaps not that much improvement. The live events are listed on the right of the homepage and there is also a 'Live Betting Calendar' showing all upcoming events they will cover and also highlighting those that will be streamed for viewing. The range of events is decent and the odds are good - so all in all this is a decent in-play console.

There is no dedicated mobile phone betting application but it would seem to be only a matter of time given the ambition of the company.

Customer Service

Telephone: +356-21314833
Email: service.en@bet-at-home.com
Address: Portomaso Business Tower, Level 12, Portomaso PTM01, Malta
Other contact methods: Live chat

Customer service is solid, as you would expect from a company of considerable size. Live chat is available but in tests we had to wait a considerable time to access it and on some occasions it was not available at all. The representative was polite and helpful but had to transfer me to a colleague (who spoke better English) for a more complex enquiry. There is no option to print or email the transcript as there is with some rivals, which could be a disappointment if a dispute arises.

There is a decent FAQ and help section which should reduce the need to contact their customer services, but telephone and email options are also there and quite reliable.

Conclusion

bet-at-home is a good site that we feel comfortable recommending for a variety of reasons. The 50 EUR bonus is reasonably generous, with sensible wagering requirements and a fair minimum odds restriction. The website is quick and uncluttered (although navigation between markets could be simpler) and the in-play technology is very pleasing to use.

Whilst the odds are no better than average, the in-play prices can be excellent and there is plenty for football fans to bet on.

The customer service is good, on the whole, but the live chat facet certainly needs looking at as wait times are far too long. On balance, bet-at-home are a worthy addition to your portfolio of bookmakers and, with a few improvements and a perhaps more staff, they could be even better.
