The Golden State Warriors are back on a consistent streak since Steph Curry came back from injury, winning 5 of 5 in their last 10 games. Their record is also very even with 25-24 so far. The team has had issues internally, espcially between some older and younger players. Steph Curry is still doing his thing and scoring proficiently, but it's noticeable that a decline in the team has happenned since winning the championship last summer.
OKC on the other hand has a fruitful young squad, who unfortunately lack in wins in their record but make up for it in player efficiency. Having SGA and Josh Giddey as guards, in additiona to a miriad of tall and young players make them the perfect opponent for the Warriors.
OKC are currently sitting in the 11th seed, but since the western conference is so even, the record difference between the 13th seed and the 3rd is of only 5.5 games. Many more teams who aspire to make the palyoffs still have a chance for an appearance. this of course includes the Thunder, who have the energy to spare in the regualr season, and the picks to afford not to tank. Additionally, OKC has a better point guard this seaosn than the Warriors in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who's averaging 31 points per game this season.
Lastly, OKC will play at home, which has been a strength to the team, while playing away for the Warriors has been a weakness all season long.
Overall, we expect OKC to win in a tight matchup tonight.
