LeBron's potential trade has multiple teams on their toes

LeBron's potential trade has multiple teams on their toes
LeBron has voiced his concerns with the Lakers

LeBron James recently turned 38 and is slowly, very slowly, coming towards retirement. The Laker has shared his opinion on the team with the press multiple times, mentioning his role in the team as one to care about his teammates and nothing else, not even trades or anything to do with the roster since LeGM's stunt in 2021.

Upon insisting the roster is not his role in the team, LeBron has received a bit of backlash with the press, as an interview with Sam Hamick went sideways. The reporter portrayed LeBron as unbothered by the Lakers' situation but annoyed about not being on a winning team. Although the Lakers aren't performing badly, being on a 17-11 run after their horrendous start of the season, including a 5 game win streak, the Lakers are still struggling to make the playoffs, barely scraping the playins.

Hey Sam (Hamick), actually my patience isn't waning, you make it sound like I'm frustrated when I'm really not. I told you over and over, my job is focused on the guys in the locker room, my job isn't the roster. That's the reality of that conversation. And I said what I said with the utmost respect and calmness cause that's the mood I'm in! You're welcome! 5 game winning streak.

With an aging body and time not slowing down, it's hard to imagine LeBron's accepting to end his career without a boom, or at least a spectacular regular season. Also, LeBron has voiced his dream of playing with his eldest son, Bronny, who should be eligible for the 2024 draft.

Trade rumors regarding LeBron have mainly been in relation to Bronny James' development and where would be the best destination for the duo to play together. Numerous rumors lead to the Warriors a couple of years ago. The Warriors have arguably the best development in the NBA, having built a dynasty with picks such as Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Jordan Poole and most noticeably, Stephen Curry.

Other teams include the Cavs and the Magic. If the King were to return to Ohio he would have the opportunity to give Bronny a similar path he went through in both 2003 and 2016, knowing the ins and outs. The Magic have a young core that could use a veteran such as LeBron, with another youngster to add to the squad in Bronny. There could be a rotation between Cole Anthony, Markel Fultz and Bronny James. Seeing how the Warriors and the Cavs are doing this season, it's doubtful they will get the 1st draft pick. Additionally LeBron has voiced his concerns on going to Orlando on "The shop".

LeBron will officially be on free agency during the 2023 summer, hoping a 2024 first pick team will fit LeBron will be a difficult but not impossible, only time will tell.
