JAYLEN BROWN AND JAYSON TATUM, HAVE THE JAY BROS TAKEN OVER THE SPLASH BROS?
Both Tatum and Brown lead in scoring

Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum have been on a rampage of a season, going 32-12 at half of the season, they are expected to lead the Celtics to a 60+ win team.

When the Celtics drafted Brown and Tatum in consecutive draft classes, it was unknown that the Celtics future was going to look so bright. Both players made a direct impact on the league, averaging around 15 points each during Tatum's rookie year. Since then they have only increased in productivity. It was only 5 years later that the team reached the Finals as they faced the infamous Warriors, where they lost in game 6 after a stellar performance from Steph Curry and Jordan Poole.

As the Warriors were getting more and more hype during the 2021-22 season, Jordan Poole was dubbed the third Splash brother, as the young player could shoot from three and farther, a typical Splash bro trademark for Golden State. As the season went on, Klay Thompson came back from an over two year long injury that took place during the 2019 Finals. Shortly after his return, Klay Thompson dropped 12 threes during a regular season game, making his comeback to the NBA official.

Soon after that, the Warriors found themselves facing the Celtics in the Finals, and the rest as we know today is history.

Ever since, the Celtics have been hungrier than ever for a championship, as this is the time to win a ring and see themselves as a dynasty in future years. For a team that screams Finals contenders, the Celtics have done nothing more than show who they are and why they deserve a second chance, with Tatum and Brown dropping 57.7 points per night together and leading the Celtics in scoring.

Compared to the Splash brothers, the Jays average 29.1 points on average, whereas the Warriors trio average around 24 points between the three of them. Of course having both Klay and Poole who alternate the starting and benching positions, it's hard to average 20 points instead of continuously being a starter, but still we get an estimate of the team's output compared to the duos or trios on a team. Surely the Celtics have what it takes to make it to the finals with the Jays, and if they were to meet the Warriors in the Finals again, this time the story would be different.
